Buying a house would often be many people’s goal as it’s a huge commitment. That being said, many people would work hard in hopes that they’ll be able to achieve their goals. Just recently, according to Sin Chew Daily, a Japanese woman has gone through drastic measures to ensure that she is able to achieve her goals.
The woman shared that in order to save up, she would only buy items that are on sale in the supermarket. “When it comes to household items and cooking ingredients, I’ll just buy those that are half off or clearance stocks”, she said.
Following that, she also shared that her meal for a day would at most cost about $50Yen (RM1.70). Her breakfast would include a slice of bread and jam, while her lunch and dinner would be a slice of fish with rice or vegetable Udon noodles.
“In order to save up on detergent, I’d usually not use a bowl and just eat it straight from the pot”, she added.
Other than that, she has also never purchased any new clothes for herself and most of the clothes that she has are from her relatives or recycling centres.
Following that, she shared that she managed to purchase her first house by the time she was 27 and another 2 houses by the time she was 33. She then converted one of her houses for rental and that has helped her save up even more.
She then ended the post saying that she has managed to achieve all her dreams according to the timeline she has set and even has a cute little cat cafe.
It is unsure if she is still frugal but it is definitely admirable to see someone be so darn determined to achieve their goals. What do you think of her will power? Let us know in the comments below.
