Group of Men Assaulted a Musician at Johor Mall for Allegedly Not Kissing The Hand of an Older Individual

The police have launched an investigation after the vocalist of a “skinhead” band was assaulted by a group of men in a violent incident.

According to Kosmo, a two-minute video has gone viral, showing the group stopping, dragging, and beating the man, believed to be at a shopping mall in Johor Bahru.

He was brutally hit by a metal trash bin

According to a Facebook post, the victim was allegedly attacked by a group of men just for shaking hands without kissing the hand of an older individual.

The video also showed one of the suspects using a metal trash bin to brutally hit the victim.

Meanwhile, Johor Bahru Selatan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat, said police were alerted about the incident and launched an investigation right after a report was made.

“We urge the victim to come forward”

Police have opened an investigation under Section 148 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Act.

“We were informed about the incident yesterday and launched an investigation as soon as the report was made. We’re also urging the victim or any witnesses to come forward and lodge a police report to help with the investigation,” Raub added.
