The act of masturbating can be pretty common for some teenagers as they grow up but it can be nightmarish and embarrassing if someone exposes that habit of yours to the public. An unfortunate girl in Taiwan recently had to endure the embarrassment when her family found out about that habit of hers.
In the Chinese social platform Dcard, the anonymous girl, who stays with her grandmother and aunt admitted that she “gives herself a hand” from time to time, but to no one’s knowledge.
One fine day and out of the blue, her grandmother confronted her and asked,
“Have you been watching porn in your room?”
The girl was taken aback by the question and after asking further, she found out that her aunty saw her masturbating on one of the nights. As if that was not embarrassing enough, the aunty decided to record the whole process!Ā
And no, the embarrassment did not stop there. It escalated to a whole new level.
“My aunty sent the video to my mother, and told my relatives about it.”
That truly did not feel good as the girl described the moment as “being naked and questioned in the public”.
While her mother and uncle defended her by saying “it’s common for adults”, she couldn’t find herself forgiving her aunt, and couldn’t imagine that everyone has heard her moaning voice while she “touched” herself. Not long after, she spoke to her aunt about it, to which the latter said,
“I care about you. I recorded it so I have evidence to show your mother.”
“If you’re not family, I would’ve…”
The conversation with her aunt did not make the situation better. She told her aunt that it was illegal to do so by invading her privacy, and she would’ve lodged a police report if her aunt isn’t part of her family.
She also asked her aunt to delete the clip and despite her aunt agreeing to that, she found herself doubtful of her aunt.
“I know my aunt. She labels sex and masturbation as something that has to be disciplined.”
The aunt admitted that she needed the clip as evidence to give to the girl’s mother, in hopes that the mother would educate and discipline her daughter.
“If you really care about me, then speak to me without needing to discuss the matter with anyone else”, commented the poor girl
The act of pleasuring yourself is considered something taboo to speak about, but that does not mean we’re free to invade someone else’s privacy, regardless of who we are. What will you do if you find out that your privacy has been breached?
