A good teacher doesn’t just teach; they care for their students as if they’re their own children and go above and beyond to make sure that their students are well-equipped to attend school.

Recently, a primary school teacher, Teacher Nana went viral on TikTok for a video of her gifting black school shoes to a couple of her students.

“I saw two of my kids wearing old school shoes, so I bought them new ones,” she wrote in the video.

She bought two pairs of ALL AMERICA shoes, one slip-on one and one with velcro straps.

Trying on the new shoes

As the kids tried on their new shoes, Teacher Nana asked one of them if the shoes were her size, to which the sweet kid said, “It’s okay even if it’s loose”. She also loved her new shoes so much that she wore it immediately!

“It’s comfortable”, she said, adding that the shoes she was wearing before had become too tight for her.

Then, as the second kid was trying on his new shoes, Teacher Nana asked why he doesn’t just get new shoes, to which he replied with an innocent, yet mature, “Mum doesn’t have money”.

“Alhamdulillah”, he said gratefully as he jumped up and down, testing out his new kicks.
