It’s so inspiring whenever Malaysians make it big on the world stage!
Migos, a hugely popular hip-hop group from the United States, is widely known for their viral song, “Bad and Boujiee” along with their hit collaborations with Calvin Harris and Katy Perry.
Currently, they have been touring the United States and have captured the hearts of their fans with their high-energy shows.
What’s even more cool about this is that the outfits that they wore on tour is actually by a Malaysian brand, Stoned & Co!
How did a Malaysian brand get noticed by such a hugely influential group?
Well, we got in touch with a representative from the brand, who explained how this amazing opportunity came about.
It all started when the owner of Stoned & Co, Andrew, went to the United States for a work trip. The representative told us,
“Andrew happened to meet one of his friends in the U.S. During that time, his friend brought him to a party.
“At the party, Andrew was introduced to the members of Migos, who were also in attendance. They were really interested in the tracksuit that Andrew had on and the rest is history!”
The Nexus Tracksuit is a brand new design by Stoned & Co, which was what caught the attention of the prominent hip-hop group.
Needless to say, it must have been a great feeling for the Malaysian designers when these artists wanted to wear their apparel on tour!
Many Malaysians are probably familiar with Stoned & Co, since their clothes are often worn by prominent Malaysian bloggers, models and celebrities.
Considering the fact that this brand was only established three years ago, it’s very impressive that they managed to catch the attention of such a huge international act!
The Nexus Tracksuits will officially be available for purchase this Sunday on the 9th of June, so remember to check out their store if you want to get one before they’re all gone!
It’s absolutely amazing how Malaysians are really making a name for themselves out there! Perhaps y’all be the next ones to take us to greater heights?
