What are your priorities in life?

For this woman in India, she really has her priorities sorted and on top of that list is education!

Shivangi Bagthariya is a student of the Shanti Niketan College and she has been pursuing a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work). For a long time now, Shivangi has been planning for her wedding with her husband, Parth Padaliya and when she had finalized her wedding date, the dates of her 5th-semester exam was not announced yet.

However, when the exam schedule came out, Shivangi saw that the date coincided with her wedding. Be it as it may, she didn’t want to change a thing as it was an auspicious date. Instead, she suggested to her parents and in-laws for a little tweak in the timing to allow her to take her exams first before the wedding.

“I asked my parents as well my would-be husband’s family to tweak the muhurat so I can take the exam.”

Usually, preparation for the bride takes a long time, so Shivangi went to the exam hall dressed in her red saree with her makeup on fleek and decked in her bridal jewellery.

When interviewed by the Times of India, the bride said,

“Education is a must for all, including women. Parents and girls should give importance to education.”

We hope that Shivangi will continue to prioritise her education until she graduates and we wish the couple a happy marriage!
