Defence Minister: Parents Who Bring Their Children Out During CMCO May Have Action Taken Against Them
Many people are starting to forget that we’re still under the Movement Control Order despite the relaxations that have been offered. We need to remember that this isn’t the time to go window shopping or even picnics. The pandemic is here and its threat is still imminent. Even though most businesses have been opened, we don’t need to leave the house unnecessarily with the WHOLE family.
Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, told in his press conference today that the government will consider taking actions towards parents who bring their children out for shopping during the CMCO.
He said that while there’s currently no prohibition for parents to bring their kids where large crowds are expected but they’re still not encouraged from doing it due to the danger they might face. He added that the government will look into tweaking the CMCO so that this prohibition can be added.
“But as I said before the safety of your kids is your responsibility and you should ask yourself is it safe to bring them around to places where there are large crowds or in confined spaces like the markets and all?”
Like what the minister said, the safety of your kids is in your hands. This is not only for your kids but for everyone as well unless there’s an absolute emergency, please STAY HOME with your family!
