A 52-year-old man in Jiangxi, China, took matters into his own hands after his employer refused to compensate for the injuries he sustained at work.

The man, Ma, who was the driver at his former workplace, attacked and killed her female employer, Shao, by stabbing her.

According to reports from the Chinese media, Shao not only ran an acupuncture company but was also the director of the Women Entrepreneurs Association and had a good reputation. Shao was known for spreading positive energies online.

Shao met her demise at the parking lot of her residence, and while committing the crime, Ma was said to have shouted.

“Just because you are rich and powerful, don’t ever think that you can do anything you want!”

Shao’s husband was at the scene when Ma attacked the woman, but he was unable to protect his wife. Witnesses also said that Ma did not leave the crime scene after the murder but waited for the authorities to reach the scene, where he was immediately arrested.

Ma, who was Shao’s driver, got into an accident that injured his leg and rendered him unfit for work for over half a year.

He injured his leg and had steel implanted. Shao, however, was not willing to pay a compensation of RMB50,000 (approximately RM29,270) and was only willing to pay RMB30,000 (approximately RM17,500).

Both parties went to the court, and Shao was told by the court to pay a compensation of RMB143,000 (approximately RM82,000).

Unhappy with the decision, Shao appealed but to no avail, and she still refused to pay Ma and allegedly told him,

“I don’t have money. I only have my life.”

Ma is under police custody, and the authorities are still investigating the case.
