A 36-year-old man from Shenzhen, China, had the shock of his life upon discovering that his blood had turned green, after years of drinking alcohol almost every day.

This all started when the man, named Chen, had gone to a hospital after realising his skin and eyes had turned yellow, and that his energy levels had dropped significantly. He was also frequently vomiting and endured shortness of breath.

According to a report by CTWant, while at the hospital, he was diagnosed with 4 different life-threatening diseases!

Prior to the diagnosis, his doctor decided to draw some blood to examine, and it was discovered that his blood had turned a milky green colour!

With cholesterol levels as high as 227umol/L, and triglyceride levels at 17.8mmol/L, which is 10 times higher than the average, the final diagnosis showed that Chen had jaundice caused by acute hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, and hyperlipidemia.

It is understood that his blood turned milky green due to severe liver damage caused by his long-term alcohol abuse, and hyperlipidemia, which is caused by uncontrolled eating and drinking.

The doctor decided to use double plasma filtration (DFPP) for a blood transfusion on Chen.

Apparently, yellow grease had appeared in the filtration machine during the process.

Upon seeing this, Chen said, “I don’t dare to eat or drink too much again in the future.”

However, after enduring 2 weeks of treatments, he ultimately decided, “I will never drink again!”.

Be right back, we’re going to down a gallon of water and eat a salad.
