While breakups can be tough, not all relationships have to end with exes hating each other. Some exes still care enough about each other to remain friends. But what would you do if your ex got into a tragic accident from which they’d never truly recover?

Jia, a woman from Shandong, China, has been caring for her paralysed ex-husband for more than 20 years since he fell from a hillside that was 40-50m high. The life-changing accident left the poor man in a vegetative state from severe brain damage, as reported by China Press.

In her grieving state, Jia still persevered and continued to take care of her husband and children. But since taking care of her husband became her full-time job, she couldn’t go out to find work or earn an income to support her family. Finding herself in a difficult financial situation, Jia made the decision to divorce her husband and marry another man so that she could continue supporting her paralysed ex.

While her ex-husband’s family expressed their understanding and support, Jia herself didn’t think she could find a man who was kind enough to understand her situation, much less marry into it.

But with the help of her neighbour, Jia was introduced to a genuine man who wanted to help out her situation. Not only did he express his willingness to accompany her and share the burden of taking care of her ex-husband, he also agreed to financially support their poor family.

Nonetheless, Jia still feels like it is her main responsibility to take care of her ex-husband. Even though she’s faced with many difficulties, she holds out believing that she can overcome them as long as she has courage and love in life.

Wow, she definitely has our respect for this level of commitment! What do you guys think of this?
