Brave PDRM Officers Suffer Injuries After Getting Stabbed While Arresting Drug Dealer in Kelantan

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has revealed that two of its Lance Corporals had to be hospitalised after being stabbed by a drug dealer in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

In a Facebook post, PDRM asserted that the two policemen were stabbed while attempting to arrest a 30-year-old local suspect on suspicion of drug possession.

The incident, which happened at 6pm on Thursday (13 April 2023) at the side of the road in Kampung Siput Meranti escalated when the suspect acted aggressively using a sharp knife.

The officers, 29-year-old Lance Corporal Aminullah Islahudin Selvan and 28-year-old Lance Corporal Mohammad Arif Ismail both suffered injuries arresting the aggressive drug dealer in a scuffle that lasted 8 minutes.

Aminullah suffered an injury to his right wrist a punctured wound to his elbow and a wound to his right calf. Meanwhile, Arif suffered injuries to his right hand and the back of his body.

The suspect was found carrying a black plastic with over 12,000 yaba pills and 282.9 grams of heroin. It is estimated that the drugs seized is worth RM232,000. PDRM also seized the knife used by the suspect to stab the policemen.
