Previously, we reported on supporters of former Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin gathering in solidarity outside of the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court as he was being charged with 4 counts of abuse of power and 2 counts of money laundering on Friday (10 March 2023). An estimated 100 supporters showed up clad in white t-shirts that read “Kami Bersama Abah” and red headbands that read “#AbahTabah”.

Besides that, several former ministers were also spotted in the crowd to give their support. These include Datuk Seri Rina Harun, Datuk Razali Idris, Datuk Seri Faizal Azumu and Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin who were among the Bersatu members present at the courthouse to offer their support to Muhyiddin.

Kerajaan Gagal

Since then, several eagle-eyed netizens have found something amiss with one particular banner design being paraded by the supporters. The banner donned the red colours of Bersatu with white text reading “Kerajaan Gagal” or “Failed Government”, with the party logo above it.

Of course, the words are not unfamiliar among Malaysians as they were actually used against Muhyiddin’s government during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, its usage by his supporters here is definitely a nice twist, as they are now calling the Unity Government a failed government.

However, as many netizens attest to it, the design of the banner actually backfired due to the colour scheme and more importantly, the Bersatu logo. In fact, many argued that the banner actually inferred that Bersatu is the “Kerajaan Gagal”. Oops!

Well, given how fast the supporters were able to print the banners and posters in solidarity with Muhyiddin, maybe they didn’t have time to thoroughly go through the design. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
