An Indonesian woman who was linked to the high profile murder of North Korea exile Kim Jong-nam said she was duped into thinking she was part of a comedy prank show.

Siti Aisyah, who is 25 this year, had told her family and friends she had been invited to act in a prank show.

According to a friend of the accused, it was known that the prank show would take place in North Korea. According to Indonesia’s national police chief, it was found that Siti Aisyah was paid to be involved in those pranks.

Siti Aisyah had been alleged to be one of the two women that attacked Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, with a deadly chemical spray. It has been identified by expert that the spray used could be a new type of chemical and isn’t easily identified and analyzed. Seriously, sounds like a scene right out of a movie.

Information regarding the accused is shady. Siti Aisyah initially worked as a guest relations officer (GRO) at a spa in Ampang, although her family knows her to be selling ‘tickets’. Siti Aisyah also has a son that lives with her former in-laws. However one thing Aisyah’s mother Benah know for certain was that her daughter could speak English and Korean.

“I never knew she worked in Malaysia,” said Benah, who thought her daughter stayed in Indonesia the entire time selling clothes after her divorce with her former husband.

Another information from an Indonesian news portal revealed that Siti Aisyah had two identification record from two separate entries with two different photos.

The first one is spelled as“Siti Aisyah” with information saying she was born in Serang, Indonesia, on Feb 11, 1992. In the accompanying picture, her hair is tied in a ponytail. In the second entry, her name was spelled as “Siti Aisah” and her date of birth is listed differently. Her hair is also worn loosely in this picture.

Siti Aisyah was arrested at a hotel in Ampang after she had been identified from KLIA2’s CCTV. She along with her boyfriend Muhammad Farid Jalaluddin, and also Doan Thi Huong, who carries a Vietnam passport was arrested.
