Have you ever thought of getting a helicopter just to escape the terrible jam? Well, we have but we know it might be a pipe’s dream.

However, air travel may soon be an option as AirAsia has just launched a new form of transport through its ride-sharing services.

CEO of Capital A, Tony Fernandes has uploaded a picture on his Instagram page on 16 February that says:

“Launched today. AirAsia Ride is now in the SKY. The countdown starts. KLIA to Sentral 11 minutes.”

The 11 minutes certainly sound very attractive as it means that we do not need to wake up at 7am anymore for our 3pm flights.

AirAsia has said that they will be using aircraft that are zero-emission:

“These eVTOL aircraft will allow AirAsia to further revolutionise air travel by providing advanced air mobility to a whole new range of passengers, transforming how we all connect more efficiently in our everyday lives.”

Well, this certainly excites us! There are currently no dates as to when this feature will be implemented but the partnership was just announced on 16 February so it will probably take a few years time.

According to Astro Awani, it is estimated to start in 2025.

But, we are excited just thinking about this and the netizens seem to share the same sentiment as well.
