Compliments can really boost a person’s confidence and this is proof of that!

In a post from Sina News, they revealed that there is a new variety show from Japan that has a rather fresh concept! This show is about seeing the changes a girl goes through after 50 days of consecutive compliments.

The girl, Kyouka, is a senior student in Kanagawa who is not very confident about her looks. She always wears a face mask when she goes out, and she has a lot of trouble communicating with members of the opposite sex. It is said that girls like this are actually very common in Japan.

So the producers of the show has arranged for Kyouka to learn Italian from a foreign language teacher who also moonlights as a model. He starts off by complimenting her glasses and then her tee. Slowly, he encouraged her to try Italian cuisine and to meet other foreign language teachers.

As time goes by, Kyouka slowly comes out of her shell. She started smiling and even took off her mask! On the 50th day, we see that she has become a full-blown flower, she looks happy, confident and generally comfortable in her own skin, a stark contrast from before!
