Not every notice that you receive from the authorities is compound. That’s according to an Abang JPJ who recently shared the consequences if you skip your car inspection if you happen to receive a notice from them.
In a TikTok post by @galerikeretaofficial, a JPJ officer explained in a detailed manner what you’re expected to do when you receive a notice for car inspection. To the car enthusiasts who are into car modification, this will come in handy for you. JPJ has the authority to issue you a car inspection notice if your ride is full of modifications that may not fit our regulations.
“It’s a notice, not a fine”
Nasroul, the Abang JPJ assured the people that the notice is far from a fine and it is merely a car inspection, which the driver has to visit JPJ within 10 days from the issue date.
“Come to JPJ, we’ll look at the highlighted offenses and fix it. There is no fine, just an inspection”
However, a fine will eventually be issued if the notice receiver skips the scheduled inspection, and here’s when things might get troublesome (depending on how disciplined you are).
“The riders and drivers who skip inspection will be fined. If they don’t settle the fine within the given timeline, we’ll bring this to court.”
And you’re bound to have a lot of follow-ups scheduled when legal works are involved.
Not only you’ll be blacklisted but you’re also NOT allowed to renew your road tax and if that happens, you’re not legally allowed to be on the road.
JPJ also provides a Temporary Travel Permit for drivers’ to fill up, which will be helpful if they are stopped by authorities at a roadblock. The permit is available on their official website.

Just keep one thing in mind. If you don’t skip the inspection, there will be no fine. The purpose of the notice is merely to check your car and fix whatever is not right.
