Building your dream home is something most people aspire to check off their bucket list. What makes it even better is achieving it with your own hard-earned money.
@NewsBFM recently reported that a 26-year-old Orang Asli woman in Pahang is on track to fulfill her dream of owning a home through her flourishing TikTok business, which has been thriving for the past 5 months.
According to the report, Nur Rafidah Man makes and sells products sourced from the forest, such as kacip fatimah, tongkat ali, and honey.
In an interview with Bernama, the woman reveals how she picked up skills in video recording and editing, content titling, and getting the right equipment.
She shared that attending a multimedia and digital business workshop at SMK Kuala Krau in June and August 2023 gave her the confidence to kickstart her business.
She has successfully sold 9,000 units of her products
The mother of 1 is earning a decent income with almost 60,000 followers on her TikTok account @nur_rafidah_man.
Rafidah also informed Bernama that she has sold 9,000 units of her products, which include herbal oil, herbs, and honey.
“After the 1st time I made and saw the commission results, it instantly motivated me, and I did it consistently ever since. I started to engage in affiliate business by doing promotional activities and direct sales of other products such as food and skincare,” she said.
According to her teacher Hazeem Azemi, Rafidah was among the initial group of Orang Asli to utilise the multimedia studio facilities at the school. Rafidah is set to get her dream home in May.
“Since it’s close to Temerloh, just about 35 km away, SMK Kuala Krau chose to open up the facility to the local community.”
