Most of the leaders around the world are men but it doesn’t mean women are not meant to be leaders. Certain countries have their very own female leaders giving their best to serve the people.

However, politician Zahid Hamidi’s daughter has something else on her mind.

In a recent short clip that was shared by Sinar Daily on TikTok, Nurul Zahid said that a woman is not born to be a leader but a man is.

“I think everyone deserves a human right because we are all humans,” she added.

In another short clip, Nurul expressed her fondness for the head of opposition, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. According to her, Anwar is a sweet person.

“He is a sweet person, you know? When you talk to him, there are always positive things. I find him sweet,” she laughed.

And… your point is?”

The videos are part of an incomplete clip of a show called Politically Frank by Sinar Daily. Regardless, Malaysians have expressed their confusion over Nurul Zahid’s statement as they tried to find the correlation between leadership and human rights that she was talking about.

“So what is she trying to tell?”

“When people without knowledge try to talk.”

“This is me when I have to make a last-minute presentation without enough research.”

“You tell that to the women leaders around the world”

In the meantime, despite her real message being unclear, Nurul’s statement that women are not born leaders did not sit well with some Malaysians.

One netizen said Nurul should try telling that to fellow women leaders around the world, including the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern.

Others have said while they are not born to be a leader, they take the opportunity to create the leadership in themselves.
