For many millennials and even kids nowadays, Pokémon, especially Pikachu, is a part of their childhood and a brand that is universally recognised.
Well, we have some good news for Pokémon fans! You will soon be able to travel in a Pokémon-themed aeroplane from Penang to Taoyuan, Taiwan!
On the website, it is said that China Airlines has joined the ranks of “Pokémon Air Adventures” of The Pokémon Company and they have different themes for different routes and airlines.
Pikachu Jet CI is mainly operated by China Airlines and flies within Asia. The body of the plane is purple and sprinkled with twinkling stars. There are 11 Pokémon pictured there, including Pikachu, Shaymin, and Snorlax.
From checking in to being on the flight, passengers who choose to fly in Pikachu Jet CI will be handed Pikachu boarding passes, baggage tags, pillows, cups and snacks while being served by a cabin crew dressed in a Pikachu apron!
If you’re interested in getting on this aircraft then here are the travel dates.
From January 1st, 2023 to March 25th, 2023:
- Taoyuan International Airport ⇔ Naha Airport
- Taoyuan International Airport ⇔ Takamatsu Airport
- Taoyuan International Airport ⇔ Da Nang International Airport
- Taoyuan International Airport ⇔ Hong Kong International Airport
- Taoyuan International Airport ⇔ Penang International Airport
The routes mentioned above will “primarily be flown” using the Pikachu Jet CI other than the Da Nang and Hong Kong ones where they will only “occasionally be flown” by the themed aircraft. The Penang route will “mainly be flown” using the Pikachu Jet CI.
