In the second incident to involve a Perodua Kancil on our roads within just two days, a couple in Melaka was said to have led local police officers on a somewhat dangerous, wild goose chase around Taman Angkasa Nuri when they were caught loitering past the prescribed MCO curfew hours.

The post, which was uploaded by Facebook netizen Mohd Amirul Aizad, has since gone pretty viral.

It is understood that police had apparently found the couple in their Perodua Kancil late at night, and were approaching to ask them what they were both doing. Naturally, the sensible thing to do would be to park your car aside and answer all the questions abang polis asks you to clear any doubt. But in the case of the couple, they decided that they didn’t want to answer any questions.

So they hit the gas and sped off in their car, immediately triggering a car chase!

But we have to give whoever was behind the wheel some credit, because it took as many as three police cars to chase after the Perodua Kancil!

But finally, they were apprehended, and both suspects were promptly handcuffed by the police. It remains unclear at this point in time just what exactly was the reason for both of them to be caught out in the dead of night, but we’re glad to see that nobody got injured during this chase!

Which comes to show that regardless of how you may try to outrun the reach of the law, the law will always have one way or the other to catch up to you. This time, literally! We hope the couple learns their lesson from this incident!
