Climbing up Mount Kinabalu is surely on the bucket list for a lot of Malaysians. However, some take it to the next level by making it harder for themselves.
One such instance is Japanese tailor, Nobutaka Sada, who recently went viral after he was spotted wearing a blue business suit and brown leather business shoes while scaling the majestic mountain.
Videos of Sada recently went viral all over TikTok, as fellow hikers spotted him on a mission while wearing a suit. In one of the videos, a man was heard asking the Japanese tailor where he was going in that suit.
In his response, the man replied with a grin on his face, “I have a business meeting at the top of the mountain (Mt Kinabalu).”
In another video, the Japanese tailor was spotted having made his way to the top and was seen posing for photos at the peak, which presumably was part of his ‘business meeting’.
Field testing
Although many of us may have been well inclined to believe that Sada had a business meeting on the peak of Mt Kinabalu, it turns out that it was merely a test to promote Sada’s family suit business by taking his products on a field tests to demonstrate its quality and durability.
In a Facebook post, Sada wrote, “SADA’s order suit is okay for climbing Mount Kinabalu. We climbed 2,300m elevation difference in the tropical humidity, and got rained on, but SADA’s order suit kept it level enough to attend business meetings!”
“In addition, I was able to stay in a hut in the middle of the starlight, climb up a steep climb, and enjoy the light at the top of the mountain!”
