A recent video has been making the rounds online after a man was hit in the face by an individual wearing a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) uniform.
In the widely shared clip, the man can be seen lying on the ground, believed to be drunk, when the individual in the PDRM uniform approaches him and appears to smack him in the face before running off and hiding.

The man questioned why he was being hit
The slap startled the man and woke him, after which he asked why he was being hit.
The incident was reportedly recorded by someone believed to be the alleged officer’s acquaintance, who then told the man that he hadn’t been hit and had actually fallen instead.
At the time of writing, authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
Meanwhile, Malaysian activist and former teacher Mohd Fadli Salleh took to his Facebook page to share his thoughts on the incident.

“Those in power should use their positions to do good”
Fadli shared a reminder that those in positions of power should use it to do good, not to mistreat others.
“The clip has been widely shared and has attracted countless comments. Most people have condemned the officer’s actions, with some even calling him offensive names.
“Humanity is still deeply rooted among Malaysians. If we help others today, someone may help us or our children in return one day. But if we mistreat others today, the same could happen to us in the future. The world keeps turning. No one stays on top forever,” he wrote.
