Recently, a video has been going viral online, showcasing countless women running away from an alleged raid. Many believe the incident took place in Singapore, though that is not true.

It took place in Solaris Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

The robinhoot.sg Instagram page recently shared the video with the caption, “When the popo (police) comes to raid”, while including the hashtags, #singapore, #singaporeans, #singaporelife and more.

Raid 7

Raid 4

It turns out that this incident actually happened in Malaysia!

In the video taken from a car on the street, a large group of women dressed in party attire could be seen fleeing and running on the road, away from an alleged raid.

The Malaysia Nightlife TikTok page shared the same video on January 26 (Friday) along with additional footage from within the fleeing crowd on January 25 (Thursday).

Raid 5

Raid 6

While many assumed that the women running were foreigners from China, a netizen who works there took to the post to clarify that they are from Thailand.

Raid 1

“These are the Chinese nationals who went missing, right?” someone asked, to which the netizen replied, “(They are from) Thailand, brother. I work in that area.”

Raid 3

Raid 2

“A majority of them are Thai and Vietnamese.”

While we’ve managed to identify the location in which this took place, we’re still unsure as to which governmental body raided the location.

You can check out both videos from the incident here:
