A confrontation between two local men, both e‑hailing drivers, over a parking space at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) escalated into a physical altercation that was caught on camera and widely shared on social media.

KLIA District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner M. Ravi confirmed that police received a report regarding the incident, which took place on 4 March at the E‑Hailing Long‑Term Car Park (LTCP).

According to Ravi, investigations revealed that the two men, aged 50 and 34, had disagreed over a parking spot.

“The dispute escalated, leading to a brief physical altercation. Statements from both individuals have been recorded to assist in the investigation,” he said in a statement yesterday (7 March).

However, the matter was eventually resolved peacefully

Ravi said that during the investigation, the two men voluntarily discussed the issue and agreed to settle it amicably.

“The complainant who lodged the police report also decided not to pursue the matter further,” he added.

Ravi emphasised the importance of handling such disputes responsibly and advised the public not to take matters into their own hands. He urged anyone involved in parking‑related conflicts in public areas, particularly at KLIA, to report the matter to the authorities.

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential risks of allowing minor disagreements to escalate into violence and highlights the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue and proper channels rather than confrontation.

With the case now closed, authorities hope the resolution encourages drivers to remain calm and exercise patience in busy public spaces like airport parking facilities.
