Crisis can reveal the best and the worst in people, especially in times like these with the Covid-19 outbreak spreading across the globe. While dedicated medical staff have been working tirelessly to control the spread of the disease, there are people who seem to flout the concerns for the dangers of the virus by doing some pretty disgusting things.

One such heinous instance was seen when CCTV footage was uploaded to Facebook, showing a man enter an elevator. Now, while that is a pretty ordinary act in itself, what the man did while waiting to arrive at his floor was what proves to be truly horrifying.

Appearing to gather a ball of spit and phlegm in his throat, the man proceeds to spit all over the elevator buttons.

He then leaves, but not before another woman steps into the very same elevator after him. It has been revealed that a police report has been filed over the incident, but unfortunately, the identity of the offender is still unknown at this point. Netizens have condemned the man for committing such an incredibly disgusting act, more so given the wake of Covid-19 spreading in Malaysia.

We hope that the man will be held liable for his actions! In the current state of the world, there’s simply no need to do such disgusting acts in a public space!
