Authorities are currently on the lookout for a man in a red shirt who was caught on video beating up a woman in the middle of a road outside a restaurant in Pandan Jaya, Ampang.

In the video shared by Media Malaysia, the man can be seen yelling after the woman who was already on her hands and knees. He proceeded to kick her and stand menacingly over her fallen body as she tried to scoot away.

While the reasons behind the altercation are not yet known, snippets of the conversation reveal the man threatening the woman, “What you wanna do now, huh? Another part of the video shows the man slapping the woman repeatedly while saying, “I told you not to use Ah Di’s name. The Chief Police of Ampang Jaya, Superintendant Mohd Azam Ismail, said that the police received footage of the incident, “Based on our current investigation, the incident took place in a public place and the victim is believed to have a familial relationship with the suspect,” he said in a statement recorded by Harian Metro.

As of now, the police are unable to identify the suspect and witness. “No other eyewitnesses have come forward to explain the situation,” said the Chief. The clip has since gone viral on Facebook with many netizens believing that the man is the younger brother of the woman. He was supposedly angry at her for getting drunk.

Hopefully, the situation can be settled by the authorities accordingly. What do you guys think about this?
