Tornado Rips Through Sekinchan During Heavy Downpour, Damaging Houses & Destroying Buildings

A tornado struck Sekinchan this morning (March 6), and multiple houses were left damaged after the disaster.

A video is currently circulating on social media, showing the tornado damaging the houses near the paddy fields. The incident happened around 7:30 AM this morning. According to Harian Metro, the disaster took place during a heavy downpour.

The tornado was also seen blowing roofs off of residents’ homes more than 50 meters into the air.

The disaster during the heavy rain also destroyed rows of shops, village guesthouses, and rice-planting machine workshops.

In another video on Facebook by Mohamad Yazid Zakiyuddin, cars were also seen stopping in the area when the tornado struck. The tornado was seen heading towards the paddy fields before disappearing.

As of the time of writing, no deaths or injuries have been reported, and the Selangor Fire & Rescue Department has yet to issue a statement about the disaster.
