Recently, a confession by a woman who complained about her sister in law’s attitude captured the attention of netizens on Twitter.

In the confession, which was shared on the IIUM confessions website, the woman said that she and her younger sibling lives with their brother who has been married for 2 years. “Before this it was just me, but after my sibling finished studying, he came to live with us.”

“Me and my sibling work at the same clinic but we have different shifts. My sister in law (SIL) works as an accountant and is often busy. My brother picks us and sends us to work everyday,” she added.

“Our SIL is kind hearted in front of us but speaks bad about us behind closed doors as she thinks that we are a burden to our brother.”

“One time, our brother was sick and I was working in the morning. She told us to take Grab even though she wasn’t working,” said the confessor.

She added, “When our brother is busy or sick, she’d tell us to go home by ourselves and sometimes she will order Grab for us using her credit card.”

Meanwhile, she also said that them staying there has also been an issue even though the house has 4 rooms. “One for them, one for their kids, one for me and one for my sibling.”

“She told us to live in the same room but I was stern and told her that my room is small. My brother gave in but I could see that she wasn’t happy.”

She also said that she has heard her complaining about the lack of privacy and that she was only expecting them to live there temporarily.

“Our mother said that there’s no reason for us to rent another house since our brother is there. We are his responsibility as well. Now, she has started to ask us to buy household items and doesn’t pay us back,” she wrote.

“If we’re sick, she would take care of us and make soup or porridge for us. But when she’s sick, she expects us to do the same for her.”

The confessor also highlighted other things that became an issue for her SIL, which includes:

  • her using an iPhone
  • her going out with her boyfriend
  • the state of her bathroom
  • and her SIL telling her to get her licence.

“I don’t understand why she’s so nosy about my business. I can’t take it any longer. She offered to pay half for my licence but it’s still not cheap,” she wrote.

“Do you guys think that me and my sibling should move out? Cause it seems like she hates us. Keeps telling me to get married. I don’t feel at peace in my own house. Hope that she changes.”

“Learn to be appreciative and independent”

The confession post has made its way to Twitter where netizens were quick to slam the confessor for feeling the way she felt.

“I would understand if you are both still studying but you’re working and have salaries.”

Another commented, “This woman is hallucinating. I hope that when she’s married, her parents in law along with their children, cats and hamsters all move in with her.”

“Don’t feel at peace in your own house? Sis? You’re staying at their house,” commented another user.
