Some struggle to recover from the disease while others are desperate to make ends meet. In these dire times, there are those who are willing to go the extra mile to care for themselves as well as the people around them and one of these remarkable individuals is Daniel Cheng, a Cerebral Palsy warrior.

In his Facebook profile, Daniel introduces himself as a Cerebral Palsy patient who is also an orphan. But he will not let these factors stop him from being independent. To support himself, Daniel has decided to sell quality 3 ply disposable masks for only RM45 for 50 pieces. These masks, which were produced in March 2020, can last for two years. Daniel invites everyone who is interested to consider contacting him.

However, Daniel’s selflessness came to light when he revealed that he is willing to help those who don’t have the money to buy the masks or have lost their source of income. He said,

“If you’re experiencing loss of income and have no means to purchase face masks, please reach out to me and I’ll see how I can help you. I understand the feeling of hopelessness when living by the penny.”

We salute those who are still thinking of others even though they are facing challenges themselves. During this pandemic, the least that we can do is to support the people around us who are putting in the effort to make ends meet. Do look around you, see if you can help any small businesses, and together we can rise from the pandemic stronger!
