The Malaysian animation industry is improving tremendously over the years thanks to the production of Boboiboy and also Upin and Ipin.

Just recently, the co-founder of Animonsta studios (the animation company behind BoboiBoy) announced on Twitter that one of their works, Mechamato has been nominated for an award at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival.

The cartoon has reached the final stage of the awards and now they need the votes to get them to first place!

Mechamato Award

In order to help create a history of the first Malaysian cartoon to win that award, here’s how you can help.

Go to this the award website here and scroll down a little until you see “MECHA-AMATO” or “メカアマ”. Click on the pink icon that is located beside the name and give it authorisation to your Twitter account.

Mechamato Vote

Don’t worry as they are only doing this step to confirm the validity of your account because you’re only allowed to vote once a day.

When that’s done, repeat it all over again the next day!

According to the co-founder, Mohd Nizam Abd Razak on Twitter, the voting period will be until February.

“Mechamato went from #8 to #1. Please vote once daily so that it can stay in the first place and we’ll create history for winning #1 di Tokyo Anime Award Festival.”

We’re already putting in daily reminders, don’t forget to put yours too!
