Here’s a heartwarming story for you to get rid of some of that incoming Monday blues.

In a video that was posted on Twitter by Steven Sim who is also the Deputy Minister of Finance II, we see him talking about his ideal Malaysia Madani.

Pictured in the video is the deputy minister himself with a family. According to the captions, the young couple is undergoing a huge test from God as they have a child who has a hole in his heart.

The surgery that can help the child to live a healthy life costs RM65,000 and that’s money that the average person does not have lying around.

Fortunately, the deputy minister got to know the family and helped them foot the bill.

“Don’t worry about the money, I will foot the bill. All so that Amin (the child) can live a healthy life.”

Steven Sim added that as long as he is the people’s representative, he will treat all the children from poor families as if they were his own.

Further into the video, we can see him talking gently to the little boy and the clip ends with them holding the national flag. The caption reads:

“This is the real Malaysia Madani. Happy independence day.”

The short video was certainly a very heartwarming one and we hope that more politicians will do their best for the rakyat just like Steven Sim does!
