Recently, netizens were furious over a viral video of a guy poking a dog with what might be a mop or a broomstick which caused the dog to shriek in pain in the early part of the recording. What’s worse, he issued an ‘apology’ that made no sense.
Apart from the poking, he was heard saying “Hello, pig!” and having a fun time, laughing with his friends. In the video, it was also shown that the dog was chewing on his slippers.
From the recording, it was not clear on how bad the dog was hurt from his poking but towards the end of the video, the dog appeared to have died roadside.
It is difficult to be sure whether the poking or any other causes have lead to the death of the dog.
Malaysians who were deeply affected by this incident, contacted YB Syed Saddiq, asking him to oversee this matter and immediately he reacted, writing on his instagram about his conversation with the man, even advising him to make a police report and contacting the local animal welfare association to clarify this issue.
On top of that, YB also reminded everyone to never mistreat animals and they should be treated with love and care as compassion is a part of being human.
After the video went viral, the 22-year-old himself has stepped forward, issuing an (really bad) apology for the his actions through his Instagram account.

“I’m sorry to all Malaysians for the misunderstanding caused by my actions. I didn’t expect the video to go viral. I made the video just to entertain my friends.”
Understandably, Malaysians who viewed his ‘apology’ got even more upset at his ignorance.
The original video of the incident has already been taken down, but it can be viewed here. Viewers discretion is advised.
