From 5 November 2022 until the end of GE15, the Selangor police have received almost 400 police reports regarding the general elections.

According to Selangor Police Chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed, out of the 393 police reports received, the team had opened 82 investigation papers and arrested seven individuals.

In addition, he also said that there was a case of sudden death involving a 45-year-old Election Commission (SPR) officer who was on duty at the ACS Methodist National Secondary School, Jalan Raya Barat Klang yesterday.

“The cause of death is due to Covid-19 and all the other police officers on duty were ordered to undergo quarantine,” he added, as reported by BERNAMA.

Referring to the process of voting in Selangor yesterday, Datuk said that it overall went smoothly without any sensitive issues or unwanted incidents.

“Congratulations and well done to the people of Selangor for successfully fulfilling their responsibilities as voters in a mature manner,” he shared, adding that the police officers were fulfilling their duties as well.

RIP to the Election Commission officer.
