Earlier this week, it was reported that a Malaysian father was forced to make the difficult decision of sending his 3 children to an orphanage due to financial difficulties, which caused him to be unable to take care of them. What followed was a heartbreaking separation that left many in tears.

Now, the orphanage that took in the children is sharing a much happier update.

The orphanage shared an update on the 3 children

The orphanage, 安順傑護幼之家 Jaz Home, took to their Facebook page to share that the children are doing well at the orphanage following the heartbreaking separation.

They wrote, “The children have since stopped crying and are beginning to adjust to their new environment. In the afternoon, the other children at the orphanage returned from school. They took photos with the 3 siblings and welcomed them with gifts. The 3 siblings have begun to settle into their new, regular routine at the orphanage.”

“The 3 siblings quickly adapted to the orphanage and, in the afternoon, displayed their lively demeanours as children while they walked around the orphanage.”

They added that the children’s quick adaptation to their new home may be due to their past experience of living in an orphanage in Kuala Lumpur.

The orphanage also took the children for eye examinations, where the kind optician donated a new pair of glasses for one of the siblings. They are also in the process of assisting in enrolling the siblings in school and kindergarten.

The father shared his gratitude for Malaysians’ kindness following viral post

Following the initial reports in regards to the father and his heartbreaking separation from his children, many members of the public reached out to him with job offers as well as offers to sponsor them as a family so that they can stay together.

However, the father believes that the best arrangement for his children is to have a regular life and to receive a formal education at the orphanage.

Though he did not waste the opportunity to share his gratitude for the care and kindness shown by Malaysians.

安順傑護幼之家 Jaz Home currently has 43 children under their care. Should you wish to assist in their mission to provide a safe home for children by making a donation, you can reach out to them here.
