If you’ve never heard of what a “hang flower club” is then we’ll explain it.
At Thai-themed clubs with Thai hostesses, you can purchase some flower garlands with a set amount of money and give it to one of the hostesses there. The flower garlands will hang from their neck, hence the name, “hang flower”.
Recently, a netizen posted several pictures in the popular Facebook group, KL Blow Water Station. In the caption, he says, “she has 2 hanging flowers RM200,000 + RM300,000. Took place at a club in Johor Bahru. That’s worth 15 years of my salary.”
The pictures show a woman on stage with a few of those garlands (although there are no flowers).
Many netizens commented on the post and say that the person may be doing something shady by putting this much money out.
One netizen said that the money was forked out for laundering and another netizen agreed by saying “left hand gives to the right hand and then the money is now white”.
A netizen disagreed and says that there are many people with high incomes and this amount (RM500,000) is a small amount to them.
While others pointed out that the screen behind asks others to not take pictures but the person did not heed the sign. A witty netizen replied and said: “It’s 300,000, not to mention taking pictures, if you want to film a movie, you can probably do it.”
There are also some netizens who are sceptical about this whole thing and think that this is a marketing ploy, “even the garland was prepared, did you know that there was an RM300,000 gift in advance?”
Well, that’s a huge sum of money that we can only dream of! You can even buy a property in cash with that amount.
