An adorably cute video has gone viral in Thailand recently, showing a mother’s rather unconventional way of making her baby stop crying.

Viewed over 6.6 million times in just 3 days, the 38-second video by TikTok user @mommy_chicky shows her soothing her crying infant by pretending to converse loudly with a friend outside the house.

At the start of the video, she can be seen sitting beside her baby as the latter was crying.

Instead of attending to the baby like many would do, @mommy_chicky started speaking loudly accompanied by facial and hand gestures, as if she was holding a conversation with someone named “Uncle Cherd”.

In the imaginary conversation, @mommy_chicky asked Uncle Cherd what he wanted to cook and if they got a lot of catfish before suddenly thanking him.

Noticing that @mommy_chicky was talking loudly to someone, the baby suddenly stopped crying and instead only stared curiously at the mother.

Seeing that the cries had stopped, the mother turned and stared directly at the camera akin to Jim Halpert from The Office TV series before the video abruptly ended.

In the captions, @mommy_chicky said,

“Some days, I just don’t know what else to try ??”
