Yesterday (14 April), it had made the headline in Taiwan as Apple Daily, a Taiwanese media also reported about Johor Bahru High Court’s verdict. “Thank you for your report, Taiwanese media. Justice in Malaysia is dead”

“Justice is unjust, where is the justice?”

“I think only Malaysia has this unique justice system. Ke Ting did not drive under alcohol influence. She adhered to the speed limit. Seat belt was worn. But the judge did not reflect on why did the parents allow their kids to be out at 3 am. What kind of logic is this?

In the meantime, Taiwanese netizens have also shared their take on this matter.

“Why are modified bikes allowed to speed on the road? People sit when they cycle but they are lying on the bicycle. This does not make sense.”

“Thinning the herd. She should’ve been awarded.”

“I’m curious how she managed to hit 8 people at once.”

“Which parents would allow their children to be out late at night and race illegally on the road? Endangering other road users. This is unfair judgment.”

As of this morning, Ke Ting has filed an appeal at the Court of Appeal and the signatures on the petitions for her release are constantly increasing.
