“Sodomy is an epidemic.”

With over 400 children rescued by PDRM from houses of horror where they were allegedly sexually abused and taught to perform similar acts, Malaysian politician Zaid Ibrahim expressed his thoughts on the horrific matter via an X post @zaidibrahim.

Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim

Zaid, who is also the former minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Legal Affairs and Judicial Reform said despite the ongoing “epidemic”, the Minister of Religious Affairs is only focused on one thing – the Halal certificate issue.

“Young boys are traumatised and abused all over the country. I’m sure what was reported is only the tip of the iceberg, and we only know a small part of the horror story.”

In his post, Zaid pointed out the sodomy cases that took place in different states over the decade and suggested what Malaysian leaders can do to curb the endemic and protect the honour and dignity of Islam before it’s too late.

“Protect our young boys, don’t just think of getting into heaven”

First and foremost, Zaid suggested officers, or detectives from JAKIM be stationed at Malaysian religious schools in a similar manner where religious departments monitor Khalwat cases.

“Muslim men are now wise. They know going after women attracts the Khalwat brigade but not the boys under the guidance of religious teachers.”

Zaid then suggested RTM and Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications, inform the people about the horror that the young boys had to experience. Zaid also said that JAKIM should spend the RM1.5 billion that the organisation has to curb the sodomy epidemic that’s targeting young boys.

“Tell the Muslims that Islam views the offence seriously. Don’t just tell the story of Prophet Lut (who was punished for practising homosexuality).”

According to Zaid, Shariah court must step up prosecution for cases of sodomy on young boys by using the Law of Evidence.

“How many sodomy cases have they started to prosecute? None. The politicians are not doing enough to curb the crime.”

Zaid then reminded the parents to be selective before sending their kids to religious schools because “not all men who teach religion are good people.”

With PDRM still investigating GISBH-related cases, we can only wait and imagine the horrors that lurk behind the organisation, waiting to be exposed.
