Influencer Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah, or Ratu Naga, has allegedly accused these Chinese school pupils of disrespecting the national anthem at an event attended by DAP Socialist Youth Chief Woo Kah Leong.

“If a Chinese school were to play the national anthem, it would be considered an offence that would go against rules and sensitivities,” she said.

In her three-minute rant of the video, she continued her tirade about how the children were seen to sing a different version of the national anthem, without realising that it was the Perak state anthem all along.

Many have since slammed her for the rant, such as political attaché Koh Ling Xian.

“This should be considered slander from the one they call Ratu Naga. It is clear in the video that the SJKC schoolchildren in question were singing the Perak state anthem,” he shared.

“It is shameful that a person who considers herself a nationalist fails to distinguish between a state and national anthem.”

“…what’s even worse is the fact that when the video went viral, she decided to delete the video and blamed others for spreading her video,” he added.

Koh further explained that spreading false news and slander is punishable by law.

Ratu Naga has since issued a public apology on the matter.
