Former Mentor reality TV singer Azmirul Hafiz has faced intense public backlash following accusations of cheating. The controversy erupted after his wife allegedly caught him with another woman at a night bazaar in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

The incident quickly went viral, prompting Azmirul to set his social media accounts to private. However, on the night of 19 March, he briefly resurfaced on Facebook with a now-deleted post, claiming that the situation had been staged intentionally to gain his wife’s attention.

A public plea for attention

In the post, Azmirul revealed that his wife had not returned home for four days. He claimed he chose to let the situation unfold publicly as a desperate measure to reach her.

“She hasn’t come home for four days,” he wrote in the Facebook post, which has since been removed.

He went on to express his emotional distress, alleging that his wife had neither checked in on him nor acknowledged his feelings. He claimed he had asked if she still loved him, but received no clear answer.

“I tried to move on and forget her, but I couldn’t. I still love this family very much,” he stated.

Explaining the bazaar incident

Addressing the viral video, Azmirul explained that he had been at a shoe stall with the other woman.

He claimed his intention was merely to buy a new pair of shoes for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations, asserting that he had already ensured his wife and children had everything they needed.

A final request for reconciliation

In a separate TikTok post yesterday (19 March), the singer made a public plea for help to salvage his marriage. He admitted that he lacked the strength to mend the relationship on his own, despite still being deeply in love with his wife.

“I accept the criticisms as my punishment, but I can’t bear losing my wife and children. I beg you, please help me,” he said.

Following the widespread backlash, his wife has removed the viral video of the incident. She later shared a post stating that her family remains her primary source of strength.

Earlier footage had shown Azmirul leaving the bazaar with the other woman shortly after being confronted, moments before the recording ended.
