A company in Singapore, BoTart which is owned by chef Timothy Chia, Shaun Tan, and Travion Shumlim has been making and selling pineapple tarts specifically for those who just want to nibble on the butter tarts without having to waste their time chewing through the sweetness of the jam. And interestingly, it’s been making rounds!

As reported to CNA, this year alone, they have already sold more than 250 jars! Yup, there’s a secret movement out there that despises pineapple jam! Might be worth a try. But if you’re scared to join this anti-pineapple jam movement, you can test it out by enjoying their pineapple-glazed tarts, which contains homemade pineapple jam lightly brushed onto the top of the crust.

Visit there Instagram account here:

The zero percent pineapple tart can be purchased for SGD16.80 (RM50.60) and the pineapple-glazed ones cost SGD18.80 (RM56.60). At the end of the day, you need to ask yourself, if you want a tart without pineapple jam, would you go for the ones by BoTart or just get yourself a normal cheaper plain tart.

Latest update from their official page has stated that the tarts have sold out for Chinese New Year. Oh boy the guests will be in for a surprise!
