Recently, a sea of Mat Rempits were seen riding against traffic in Penang, in an attempt to flee from police.
Following this, many questioned why the authorities were not doing anything to actively eradicate the prevalent Mat Rempit culture from our country.
Now, another huge group of Mat Rempits have been spotted disrupting traffic at the Puchong Toll, as they attempted to evade capture by the police in what appears to be a massive operation. Netizen, @brenko3600, took to his TikTok page to showcase multiple videos of the incident.
He wrote, “There’s an issue in Puchong.”
In his videos, the sea of Mat Rempits (there were more than we could count) could be seen riding away from a Puchong Toll towards an exit leading to a smaller road, allegedly to escape from police officers. Not long after, police officers on motorbikes could be seen arriving and blocking the small exit, forcing the motorcyclists to ride straight ahead instead.
Lo and behold, there were police roadblocks up ahead as well, which then forced the motorcyclists to U-turn and drive against traffic, heading back towards the Puchong Toll. In doing so, the Mat Rempits could be seen causing absolute chaos for other road users. Why make such an effort to avoid the police if you didn’t do anything wrong, right?
At one point, a group of them even stopped in the middle of the highway to check on the police officers’ next move, as they were trapped in that stretch of road and were trying to plan their escape.
We genuinely hope that the police managed to capture as many of the Mat Rempits as possible so that our country can slowly start to eradicate the dangerous Mat Rempit culture from our streets.
