What’s even worse was that the victim was 37-week pregnant, and she had to drive herself to the hospital after suffering the attack. According to The Star, the expecting mother was slashed in the finger, right arm, stomach, as well as her back. WTF, how can someone do that?

The Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Rosly Hasan received a report around 9:50 am on Friday. Apparently, the report was made by a doctor at the Putrajaya Hospital after handling the victim at the Emergency Department. After the victim was tended to at the ER, she was then sent to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department for further treatment.

Fortunately, even though she was only 37 weeks pregnant (a full-term pregnancy: 40 weeks), she was able to deliver her baby boy and was in a stable condition.

A police team was sent to the couple’s house to arrest the husband, as well as to confiscate the knife that was used to attack the victim. After being arrested by the police, the 39-year-old audio engineer had been remanded for further investigations. So far, the motive of the assault is still being investigated. Reports stated that the suspect will be remanded until 15 November. Regardless of what the motive was, since when it’s alright to stab your PREGNANT wife?

We are beyond glad that the victim and her newborn baby are currently under care. Hopefully, justice will be served against the cruel man. If you are experiencing any forms of domestic abuse, please do not hesitate to get help and lodge a police report.
