PM: Certain Outdoor Exercises Allowed Starting 4 May But Must Still Adhere To Social Distancing

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced that Malaysians will be allowed to carry out outdoor exercises from the 4th of May 2020 onwards.

In a press conference today (1 May) at 11am, he mentioned that only exercise that does not involve close contact with others such as jogging, badminton, cycling, tennis and so forth will be allowed as long as people adhere to social distancing.

This means that touch contact sports such as football, rugby and even swimming is not allowed. For sports that are allowed such as badminton and tennis, audiences are not allowed.

The announcement is essential in ensuring we completely eradicate our shores of the Covid-19 virus.

We should do our best to cooperate with your authorities so that together, we can prevent any further outbreaks and ensure our total freedom from the deadly disease.
