The Unity Government achieved a milestone recently with the 1-year anniversary of the federal government coming into power and celebrated the occasion with a 3-day programme aptly named the “MADANI Government One Year Anniversary Programme.

The celebration began yesterday and is being held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The programme aims to disseminate and promote new policies and initiatives introduced by every ministry to the rakyat.

Furthermore, it is also meant to increase public awareness and understanding of the government’s direction to build the trust and confidence of the people through periodical reporting of achievements.

It is worth noting that the 3-day programme is being made at the federal level and doesn’t include programmes at the state level. Well, at least for now.

This is because Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed that the MADANI Government is considering expanding the celebration at the state level following the encouraging response to the programme from the public.

Anwar added that the matter would be discussed by the Cabinet next week. He was quoted by BERNAMA as saying,

“I can see that the people are interested and, if it is like this, we (the government) may consider it during the Cabinet meeting next week to transfer such exhibition activities.”
