The SELangkah contact tracking system was launched by the Selangor government last May and is one of the easiest to use because it does not require users to enter data every time a QR code scan is performed. The team behind SELangkah has released another initiative called SELangkad, specifically to ease the contact tracing process for people with disabilities.

Unlike SELangkah which is an app that is installed in one’s mobile phone, SELangkad is actually a physical card with a QR code for those with disabilities. The owner of the SELangkad card will simply have to show the card to the owner of the premise that they are visiting to get their personalized QR code scanned. The SELangkah squad tweeted,

“We know its difficult for OKUs to operate a smartphone to scan a QR code. So we have started issuing a unique QR card for the OKUs, and the shop owners can scan their card whenever they visit a shop.”

Those who are interested in applying for the card can easily reach the SELangkah squad by scanning this QR code:

Do you know anyone that might benefit from the SELangkad card? If you do, share with them this good news and hopefully, their routine will be easier once they get their hands on the card!
