Uniqlo has released its latest collection, a collaboration with American artist and designer, Brian Donnelly (professionally known as KAWS) – and it’s selling out fast!

The brand-new collection consists of 21 items in the mens’ and kids’ UT (Uniqlo T-shirt) range and is currently available at all Uniqlo outlets. The shirts feature some of KAWS’ earliest works and some of his latest pieces, and some of the items in this collection feature his signature Companion and BFF characters.

The KAWS x Uniqlo collection was just released in China on Monday (3rd June), and it was an undoubted hit with shoppers. According to Complex, fans lined up outside stores well before opening hours and went into a frenzy to get their hands on these brand-new shirts.

Some shoppers even engaged in physical fights over the last few items left in stock, while others resorted to taking the last remaining shirts off the store mannequins. Videos of the commotion soon began to surface online.

Meanwhile, photos of some shoppers buying these shirts in bulk (presumably for reselling purposes) also began to circulate on social media.

KAWS recently took to Instagram to share how excited he was for this latest collection but also revealed that this would be his final collection with UT. An excerpt from his Instagram caption reads,

“I’m excited about this new collection with Uniqlo releasing June 3rd. I really hope you enjoy it because I have decided this collection with UT will be my last.”

What are your thoughts on this? Would you have waited for hours to get your hands on any of the items in this collection? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
