“No need to pay for April’s rent,” Kind Malaysian Waives RM600 For Family Because of MCO

During the Movement Control Order, not many of us have the luxury of working from home. This means that for some people, they might not have income during this period of time, which will definitely be burdening for them as they are still weighted down by bills.

Thankfully, there are still many kind and understanding people out there, for example, this landlord.

In this screenshot, we see this landlord has told his tenant that they would not need to pay for rent (RM600) in April because of the Covid-19 situation in our country. The landlord further explained that it is better for the family to use the rent money for themselves.

The tenant replied immediately and thanked the landlord profusely.

“Thank you so much sir. Even though we are of different religions but you have always treated us well.”

The landlord then said that helping each other is the right thing to do!

This is such a heartwarming story and netizens are here for it!

The comments translate to:

“This is awesome! What a noble and holy person. It is not always about hate, dispute or disdain. God will bless those who are kind and holy.”

“Thank God. After getting that message you must have felt relief and gratefulness. However, I just want to mention that when people do good to us, be careful not to take advantage of them. On a lighter note, I hope all of us will be blessed and that Covid-19 will be gone soon before Ramadan.”

During this MCO, we hope that kindness will prevail over fear. Do take a look around you and see if there are people out there who need help. And if you can, please do so. Thank you.

Also, please remember to carry out social distancing and to abide by the rules of the MCO!
