Taking to Twitter, @HistoriDunia2 shared a video of how Indonesia is currently testing a new RFID system that can charge toll fees even at high speeds.

In a 20-second video, a white van can be witnessed sprinting through the toll without having to slow down or stop to touch the system sensor by hand.

According to Indonesian media Kompas.com, the system is currently tested at the Jalan Simpang Susun Waru-Bandara Juanda toll in Surabaya.

The system was identified as RFID SLFF (Single Lange Free low) and is still at the testing stage for the time being.

That is really fast.

Let’s hope that our local RFID system will soon be able to offer high-speed payment systems, not as a means to promote speeding, but at least save us all time waiting to make payments at the toll.
