Being away from your family is really tough and emotional, especially if it’s your first time or for a long period of time such as staying at a campus to further your studies.

It’s very emotional for the family you’re leaving behind too, as shown in this recent viral video on TikTok.

Shared by TikTok user @raisyaraniaa, the video shows the tearful farewell of 2 siblings from Shah Alam to their eldest brother who’s furthering his studies at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Polytechnic in Dungun, Terengganu.

Many Malaysians were touched by the video, with it now going viral at over 2.2 million views and garnering more than 146,200 likes as of the time of writing.

In the video, a young girl and a boy can be seen crying while hugging their eldest brother who tried his best to console them, saying that they will be seeing him soon when he goes back during the holidays.

In the video’s comments section, many were emotional seeing the video and recounted their own experiences being away from their families.

One commenter said that while the eldest brother looks fine on the outside, he’s most probably holding back tears too. Meanwhile, another commenter praised the siblings’ parents for raising their children well.

Another netizen shared the same sentiment and further said that the video showcased a beautiful bond between sibling and hoped that the close relationship would last until the end.
